College of Nursing was founded in 1997 as a private institution of
higher education offering programs of study leading to the baccalaureate
degree in nursing. This non-profit college evolved from a hospital-based
diploma program which was established in 1919 by the Mansfield General
Hospital. The commitment to nursing education continued with the
incorporation of the MedCentral Health System in 1996. Together, the
rich tradition of the School of Nursing and now the College of Nursing
has served the communities of North Central Ohio for more than 85 years.
